PHILADELPHIA–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Rotella Productions announces that they are seeking funding for the development of a new movie, Judgment of Paris. How did a Cabernet Sauvignon from a three year old California winery, Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, outclass centuries-old, world- renowned Bordeauxs? The Judgment of Paris, the seminal blind wine tasting event originally staged as a publicity stunt, during the 1976 American Bicentennial in Paris, shook the world of wine to its core. Only one journalist bothered to show-up—Time Magazine reporter George M. Taber who went on to write the award-winning book, “Judgment of Paris: California vs. France and the Historic 1976 Paris Tasting that Revolutionized Wine” (New York: Scribner, 2005.) The historical event is now to become a major motion picture, Judgment of Paris, the movie, by Rotella Productions.
Veteran Hollywood screenwriter, Robert Mark Kamen, The Karate Kid (series), Lethal Weapon 3, Taken I, II and III, (in production) and Taps and Naples, FL and businessman, Jonathan Rotella, are uniting their passionate love of wine and faith in the story that changed how the world would look at and embrace California wines. They believe it’s a story that reflects the true, entrepreneurial spirit and divine faith of the American Dream.
